Terms & Conditions
Effective version: 2026-06-28
These Terms & Conditions govern your access to and use of Digitable, including the public website, the Digitable app, playtest features, and related services.
Agreement to these terms
By creating an account, accepting these terms, joining a playtest, or continuing to use Digitable, you agree to these terms. If you use Digitable on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organization.
If you do not agree to these terms, do not use Digitable.
The service
Digitable is a board game design and testing tool. It may include local workspace storage, project editing, game setup tools, playtest rooms, playtest feedback, export tools, newsletter content, and optional AI-assisted image generation.
Digitable is under active development. Features may change, break, be removed, or be unavailable from time to time.
Accounts
You are responsible for your account, credentials, project files, and activity under your account. Provide accurate account information, keep your credentials secure, and notify us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You must be at least 16 years old to use Digitable unless a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to your use.
Your content
You keep ownership of the game designs, text, images, SVG files, data, prompts, feedback, and other materials you create or upload to Digitable.
You grant Digitable a limited license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, and modify your content as needed to provide, secure, debug, and improve the service. This includes making playtest materials available to invited playtest participants when you create or join a playtest.
You are responsible for your content. Do not upload or share content unless you have the rights needed to use it in Digitable and to allow Digitable to process it as described in these terms and the Privacy Policy.
Playtests
When you create a playtest, you are responsible for deciding what project materials and feedback are shared with invited participants. Participants may see, interact with, and provide feedback on playtest materials. Do not use playtests to collect sensitive personal information unless you have a lawful basis and any required consent.
AI image generation
If you use AI image generation, your prompts and related request data are sent to the configured image generation provider. You are responsible for the prompts you submit and for reviewing generated outputs before using them. Generated images may be inaccurate, unexpected, or subject to third-party provider terms.
Do not submit prompts or source material that violate the rights of others, request illegal content, or include sensitive personal information.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Digitable. You must not:
- violate laws or third-party rights;
- upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt systems;
- attempt to access accounts, systems, rooms, files, or data without permission;
- interfere with security, rate limits, service availability, or monitoring;
- use Digitable to harass, abuse, threaten, or defame others;
- upload content that is unlawful, exploitative, or infringing;
- reverse engineer private service code except where applicable open source licenses allow it;
- use automated scraping or bulk access in a way that harms the service.
Third-party services
Digitable may link to or integrate with third-party services such as GitHub, Discord, Google sign-in, Kit, Traceway, Replicate, hosting providers, and storage providers. Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. Digitable is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.
Open source software
Parts of Digitable may be released as open source software under separate licenses. Those licenses govern your use of the source code. These terms govern use of the hosted Digitable service.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we believe you violated these terms, created risk for Digitable or others, or used the service in a way that could cause legal, security, or operational harm.
You may stop using Digitable at any time. Some locally stored workspace data remains on your device or browser until you delete it. Some server records may be retained as described in the Privacy Policy.
Disclaimers
Digitable is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and error-free operation.
You are responsible for keeping backups of important project files. Digitable may store some data locally in your browser or device, and browser storage can be cleared or become unavailable.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digitable and its contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, lost goodwill, service interruption, or replacement services.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability where the law does not allow exclusion, including liability for intentional misconduct or other non-excludable rights.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we may ask account users to accept the current version before continuing to use the app.
